HISTORY

According to local knowledge the Bowning Hotel, previously known as the Commercial Hotel Bowning has been in operation for well over 100 years, it's belived it was established in 1870, poets Henry Lawson and Banjo Paterson used to drink here.

In 2011 the interior was extensively renovated to include a new dining room, kitchen, bar and all purpose room. 

ABOUT BOWNING HOTEL

The Bowning Hotel is situated 10 minutes from Yass and 1 hour from Canberra. It offers a warm, friendly and family orientated venue for functions.

A courtesy bus will pick up from Yass and surrounding area from Friday-Sunday and other nights on request.
